Siena McIlwraith-Fraticelli

Siena McIlwraith-Fraticelli is an articling student at Crossroads Law who brings a compassionate and client-centred approach to family law. She values building trust with clients and creating an environment where they can speak openly about their concerns and priorities. Through clear and accessible communication, she strives to ensure clients feel understood, informed and supported as they navigate the legal process.

Advocacy and Individualized Support

Siena’s interest in family law is rooted in her passion for advocacy and access to justice. She believes effective legal representation begins with understanding her client’s circumstances and goals and developing a strategy that reflects their needs. Recognizing that every client’s circumstances are different, Siena is committed to providing thoughtful, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed legal support.

Supporting Families Through the Legal Process

Siena works exclusively in family law, supporting clients with matters including:

  • Divorce and separation.
  • Child custody and parenting issues.
  • Guardianship and decision-making over minor children.
  • Child support.
  • Spousal support.
  • Family property and debt division.
  • Grandparent rights and contact.
  • Mobility and relocation of children.
  • Protection orders.
  • Agreements, including cohabitation agreements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and separation agreements.

Siena’s approach to family law has also been shaped by her work with organizations focused on equality rights and improving access to legal information. With the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF), she contributed to its work advancing equality rights, and through Pro Bono Students Manitoba, she helped develop an accessible legal information resource for families navigating the child and family services system. These experiences reinforced Siena’s commitment to honest and transparent guidance that reflects the practical, emotional and financial realities each client faces.

Outside of work, Siena enjoys running, hiking, quilting, reading, travelling, and dancing. A self-proclaimed “foodie”, she is always looking for new restaurants or recipes to try.
