Family Law Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Calgary) 

We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our collaborative team in Calgary where we offer a hybrid work environment.

Position Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Daily time postings, monthly billings to clients and A/R collections
  • Filing, file maintenance and calendar diarizations, and incoming/outgoing mail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Fielding client inquiries via telephone contact/management
  • Preliminary drafting and/or transcription of correspondence and legal documents
  • Understanding of legal procedures in the Family Law area
  • Document filings and court calendar management
  • Other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience working as a legal assistant / paralegal.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing and growing workplace.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Organized and meticulous with follow-up and detail.
  • Ability to take the initiative, prioritize and multitask.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Experience in family law is an asset.
  • Ability to work overtime on occasion.

Marketing Coordinator (Calgary or Vancouver)

We are actively looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our collaborative team. This full-time hybrid role is based in either our Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC office, with the flexibility to work from home 1 to 2 days per week, depending on office needs.

A Day in the Life:

Communications (internal and external)

  • Support with internal communications initiatives, including company-wide announcements, campaigns, and events.
  • Assistance with maintaining company intranet to ensure employees have access to the latest information and resources.
  • Assist in coordinating events such as the annual holiday party, corporate events, retreats and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., HR and Accounting) to ensure consistency in internal messaging and alignment with company values.
  • Administrative support to the COO and Business Development Manager as requested.

Marketing

  • Support with the development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Assist with management of corporate GoogleMyBusiness channels, responding to reviews and updates when necessary.
  • Maintain an up-to-date content calendar and blog schedule to assist with coordination of marketing initiatives.
  • Management of our social media channels, including planning out the monthly schedule.
  • Graphic design work that ensures visual consistency in communication materials. This includes graphics for socials, ads, printer materials, eNewsletters, etc.
  • Develop and distribute corporate eNewsletters.
  • Participate and support marketing strategy development.
  • Maintenance and ongoing website updates.
  • Draft and edit copy for websites, blogs, social media, advertisements, and other marketing materials.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Monitoring and analyzing our online social media initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop additional marketing materials.

Administrative tasks as assigned by the COO and other members of the management team

  • Organizing and scheduling meetings.
  • Taking detailed minutes of meetings and follow up.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Assisting with planning events.
  • Handling requests and queries.
  • Providing backfill support for reception duties from time to time.
  • Other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ year experience working in marketing, communications or related industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing and growing workplace.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Organized and meticulous with follow-up.
  • Ability to take the initiative, prioritize and multitask.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Canva, MailChimp, Acuity or similar software would be an asset.
  • Video production skills (shooting and editing) is not required but would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work overtime on occasion.


Legal Administrative Assistant (Vancouver)

While we are not currently hiring for the Senior Legal Administrative Assistant position, we are always looking for skilled individuals to join our growing team in Vancouver.
