Gurjant is a dedicated family lawyer with a diverse background in both civil litigation and criminal defense, bringing a wealth of experience to his family law practice. He has successfully represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench.

Prior to joining Crossroads Law, Gurjant honed his skills at a prominent civil litigation firm, where he gained invaluable insight into the complexities of legal proceedings. His time as a criminal defense lawyer further developed his understanding of the law and advocacy, which he now applies to achieving practical and fair solutions for his family law clients. His approachable nature, attention to detail, and focus on achieving the best possible outcomes ensure that his clients feel fully supported and confident throughout the legal process.

Gurjant was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. His journey into the legal profession began at Mount Royal University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Gurjant embarked on a transformative year abroad before returning to Canada to further his legal education. He chose to pursue his Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Throughout his academic journey, Gurjant demonstrated a thirst for knowledge, and a commitment to serving his community. Throughout law school Gurjant was a volunteer with Pro-Bono Street Law and competed in the Canadian Law Moot competition during his time abroad, placing as a finalist. His diverse educational background equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the law and a global perspective that enriches his practice.

Outside of the office, Gurjant finds balance by enjoying family time and playing sports. He plays tennis and basketball, often hitting the court to unwind and stay active. Gurjant can also be found spending time with his German Rottweiler, Dre.
