Serey Sinn
Serey’s path to the legal industry is far from a traditional one.
After completing a Communications and Business degree from Simon Fraser University, she spent nearly two decades working in the nonprofit sector in various marketing, fundraising and leadership roles. This included leading a $60M capital campaign at the University of Calgary in addition to spearheading the fundraising efforts at the Arthritis Society of BC. During this time, Serey earned a Master of Arts in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota and sat on multiple nonprofit boards in Calgary.
After supporting the launch Crossroads Law in 2017, Serey resumed her nonprofit career before joining the team in an official capacity as chief operations officer, with a goal to enhance business operations. The acceleration of the firm’s growth has led to landing on Business in Vancouver’s top 100 Fastest Growing Companies list in 2022 and 2023, The Globe and Mail’s Top Growing Companies list of 2023, and being named an Excellence Awardee for Family Law Firm of the Year by the Canadian Law Awards.
Simultaneously, Serey lead the development and launch of Coach My Case, an alternative legal services company focused on helping self-represented litigants with more flexible and affordable options such as legal coaching and paralegal services. The vision of Coach My Case is to provide innovative legal service alternatives to address the access to justice crisis in Canada.
Serey is driven by her passion for making a positive difference in her community. She continues her philanthropic work by supporting many local nonprofit organizations including Access Pro Bono of BC where Serey sits on the board of directors. Her unique leadership background, strategic approach, and collaborative spirit fuels her vision of building an inclusive and diverse team of professionals who are passionate about helping our clients. As a former athlete and coach for the BC Karate team, Serey utilizes her coaching background to develop and empower her team to reach their full potential.
In her down time, Serey can be found planning her next international adventure, seeking out new culinary experiences and chasing after her two energetic children.
