Samantha Baryer

As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, she is committed to fostering a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment from the moment they walk through the door.

Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Her academic background has equipped her with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with a foundational understanding of legal systems. Coupled with previous administrative and client-facing experience, Samantha understands the care and discretion required in the context of family law, as she recognizes that these matters are often deeply personal or emotionally complex.

Her broader experiences have further shaped her perspective. Samantha has volunteered in programs supporting Afghan newcomers to Canada, assisting individuals and families as they adjusted to new social systems. She also participated in an international cybercrime field program in Scotland, where she explored issues relating to data privacy, online harm, and the evolving digital landscape. These experiences have strengthened her appreciation for the diverse and increasingly digital realities that intersect with modern legal practice, and inform her role as receptionist by emphasizing the importance of cultural sensitivity and privacy in every client interaction.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys crocheting blankets, going to yoga or pilates classes and spending time with her cat, Kiwi.
